The Max Gallery at The Woodward Inns on Fillmore occupies the main floor of The Woodward Max. The Gallery will feature the art of selected Kansas Artists including paintings, wood carvings, metalwork, jewelry, enamels and glass.

The Max Gallery at The Woodward Inns on Fillmore had its grand opening on a snowy Valentine's Day in February 2010. The Gallery is open by appointment and will be participating in the first Friday Art Walk each month. Art from the collections displayed will be for sale in support of the Topeka Art Community and the Kansas artists displaying their collections.

The Woodward Inns on Fillmore will be offering monthly "art walk" specials intended to make it easy for art enthusiasts from outside of the immediate Topeka area to participate in the growing Topeka Art Walk. These specials will include a room, dinner the night of The Topeka Art Walk, and transportation to all of the participating Art Walk galleries. With this additional support from The Woodward Inns on Fillmore, it is the hope of The Woodward Inns on Fillmore that the Topeka Art Walk can become a regional monthly event open to all art lovers with the interest, time, and passion to participate in the Topeka Art Walk.

Opening The Max Gallery on Valentines Day seemed so appropriate since it is a day to celebrate love. We are hopeful that we can continue to promote Kansas Artists with the Max Gallery at The Woodward Inns on Fillmore for years to come. Join us as we move into the future. Thank you for joining us on these first steps of that journey.

This photo shows the gallery fireplace and sitting area that is to the left of the main entrance. This view is from the great room. From the front entrance the gallery visitor would have walked forward into the great room and looked back and to the left to see this view of the gallery fireplace and sitting area.

The fireplace mantle as well as the bookshelves display the exquisite work of Selected Kansas Artists.

The gallery visitor will be standing in the same location in the great room as the view in the picture of the sitting area above, but will be looking in the opposite direction to get this view of some of the collection's most beautiful pieces. They are displayed in the china cabinets with lights shining through them providing the enchantment that only lighted art can provide.
