The
Woodward is a celebrated location for weddings,
receptions, dinners, conferences, video/photo/movie shoots and all other
types of private events.
For
weddings, the Library becomes a lovely and intimate chapel seating up to
100 on the first floor with additional standing capacity in the gallery
up above. For outdoor ceremonies, space will allow comfortably for up to
400 guests. (Outdoor ceremonies are only recommended during September
and October when the weather is most accommodating.) The Woodward
provides all furnishings, floral arrangements, tables, linens, candles,
table settings. The Woodward features an altar with the backdrop of the
15’ stained glass window, illuminated at night from outside in faint
amber. The house also features a player baby grand piano which can be
played manually or will play on its own – piano or piano with orchestra.
The feast for the celebration is prepared for you fresh, from scratch,
in-house. Chapel picture courtesy of Dave Kaup Photography.
For receptions, The Woodward is full comfortably
inside at 250; inside outside 500. The Woodward is also very comfortable
for smaller crowd sizes as set-up
shifts
to maximize intimacy and coziness.
For dinners, The Woodward is full in the Library
with seating for 66 comfortably. An additional maximum of 20 can be
accommodated in the original Dining Room. Private dinners for as few as
two people, completely private in front of the fireplace with dancing
and intimate lighting also available. The house specialty at The
Woodward is Pepper Crusted Beef Tenderloin. We are also known for our
Woodward Iced Teas.
Weddings
at The Woodward Max
The Woodward
Max, the newest of The Woodward Inns on Fillmore, is a
great place for a smaller wedding of up to 50 guests. The decor is
contemporary with a hint of antique. The atmosphere is relaxed, yet
complete, and priced all inclusive but more economically feasible
for the smaller gathering than is The
Woodward, designed for larger, more elegant affairs. The
first wedding held at The Max was called "perfect" by the Bride and
Groom.
